Office Chaos is a simple arcade game: hold to rise, release to fall, and dodge your way through the office. This policy explains what little data the app touches, why, and who it passes through — Google's ad and backend services, and nothing else. There's no account system, no email collection, and no access to your contacts, photos, or files.
The app collects two narrow categories of information, both tied to gameplay rather than to you personally.
If you choose to save a score, you're asked to enter a nickname (up to 14 characters, chosen by you — a real name isn't required or requested). That nickname, your score, and a server timestamp are stored in the game's Firebase/Firestore database and shown publicly on the in-game leaderboard. Your nickname is also saved on your device so you aren't asked for it again next time you play.
Office Chaos shows optional rewarded ads (to continue a run after a game over) and occasional interstitial ads, served through Google AdMob. AdMob and its ad partners may collect device and advertising identifiers, general (non-precise) location, and app usage data to serve and measure ads. This happens through Google's SDK, not code we write — see the next section for what Google does with it.
| Data | Collected by | Purpose | Visibility |
|---|---|---|---|
| Nickname (≤14 chars) | Office Chaos app | Leaderboard display | Public |
| Score & timestamp | Office Chaos app | Leaderboard ranking | Public |
| Advertising ID | Google AdMob | Ad serving & measurement | Google & ad partners |
| Approximate location | Google AdMob | Ad relevance | Google & ad partners |
We don't collect your name, email address, phone number, precise location, photos, or contacts — the app never asks for any of them.
Two Google services do the heavy lifting behind the scenes:
The pill row below is simply a quick index of what each service is used for:
Leaderboard data is used only to show rankings inside the app. Advertising data is used by Google and its partners to select and measure the ads shown to you. We don't sell data, and we don't use it for anything beyond running the game and keeping ads relevant.
Leaderboard entries are kept in Firestore to keep the leaderboard meaningful over time; there's currently no self-service way to delete an individual entry, so please don't submit anything you wouldn't want to stay public — contact us below if you'd like an entry removed. Firestore's access rules only allow new entries to be created, not edited or deleted, which also means a submitted score can't be altered later. As with any online service, no method of storage or transmission is perfectly secure, but we don't retain anything beyond the nickname/score/timestamp described above.
Office Chaos is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has submitted information through the leaderboard, contact us below and we'll remove it.
If this policy changes, we'll update the effective date above. Continued use of the app after a change means you accept the updated policy.
